This is a small example of the famous conglomerate sedimentary rock from Hertfordshire, England. Puddingstone is a formation of flint gravel that has been naturally bonded together by silica materials, giving it the appearance of a plum pudding. In folklore, Hertfordshire Puddingstone was considered to be a protective charm that could ward off evil.
