Selenite Pyramid

Selenite, also known as Satin Spar, is a member of the Gypsum family.

The name ‘selenite’ is derived from the Greek word for ‘moon’ due to its moon-like glow when polished or exposed to light.  In ancient Greek mythology, Selene is the goddess of the moon.

Selenite is believed to promote a sense of calmness, peace and wellbeing, making it a popular crystal for relaxation, meditation and stress relief.

Size – approx. 55 x 55mm

Origin – Morocco

Please note – Selenite is a soft crystal ( mohs hardness of 2 -2.5) and will scratch easily.  It is recommended to keep it dry.
